St Mirren are currently in a good frame of mind heading into Wednesday’s home clash against Celtic. The Saints’ 2-1 win over Dundee on Saturday saw them climb off the foot of the Premiership table.
Now they look to have a great chance of picking up points against Celtic for the second-time this season. St Mirren are likely to be facing a Celtic side lacking many of its top players.
Dedryck Boyata is out of the game, whilst the likes of Kieran Tierney, Filip Benkovic and Tom Rogic must be doubtful.

Therefore, the Paisley side have a real chance of having a go at Celtic. They’ve got nothing to lose. They aren’t expected to win the game.

Celtic could also suffer from the after-effects of playing a Glasgow derby only three days prior to the trip to Paisley.
In the first meeting between the teams this season, Oran Kearney secured a 0-0 draw in his first game as Saints manager.

He would no doubt be pleased with a similar result on Wednesday night. But the Saints should be aiming to land the three points.
It would be a huge aid in their bid to avoid relegation. The odds will still be against the Saints getting even a point on the night. But this does look like a good chance to pick up at least a point against Celtic.
