Some Hibs fans are fuming with Paul Heckingbottom after their side fell to a 2-1 derby defeat.
Stevie Mallan scored a wonder goal to give the home side a 1-0 advantage, before Uche Ikpeazu and Aaron Hickey netted to seal a big win for Hearts.

It’s a terrible result for the Hibees boss that puts him under immense pressure. For some supporters, derby defeat was the last straw.

Heckingbottom has lost the Hibs faithful
After a disastrous run of form, Heckingbottom needed this win. Not only did he lose the match, the Englishman chucked all three points away.
After a dull first half, Mallan’s goal had Hearts on the backfoot. If they applied themselves from that point, they may have got the win. Instead, it was Hearts who entered the ascendency.

This didn’t come down to the better football team, the Jambos did not play well. It came down to who wanted it more and that team was Hearts.
The Hibs faithful will probably not forgive Heckingbottom for this. He has the Easter Road side in the relegation play-off spot, with tough tasks against Kilmarnock in the cup, plus Celtic and Aberdeen in the league to come next.
Will Heckingbottom even be in charge for those games? If it was up to Hibs fans, he probably wouldn’t be.
