Hibs made hard work of their League Cup last 16 match. but once again, fans were treated to a brilliant Scott Allan performance.
The midfielder netted once and created two assists as Hibs beat Morton 5-3 after extra time. Hibs weren’t really good enough over the 120 minutes, despite winning the match, but Allan was decent again.
His passing and trickery on the ball was too much for the Ton defence to deal with at times.
Some Hibs fans have reacted to his performance.

If he gets injured we may as well just disband as a club.

Delightful from Scott Allan again as Kamberi got his second albeit after a contentious decision to play on as Morton looked for a free kick in the midfield. Hibs though lack cohesion, direction and most worryingly, at times, spirit. They march on in the league cup.

Every time we score you can guarantee Scott Allan is involved. We need better players surrounding him. The guy deserves better. Heck’s signing have been piss poor https://t.co/JtVeIMzmVC

Hibs fans have a new hero in Allan
Where would Hibs actually be right now if it weren’t for Allan? Paul Heckingbottom is under serious pressure from fans at the moment and Allan is doing his best to deliver the goods for both his boss and supporters.
He is a joy to watch. The creative midfielder netted the Hibees’ first after a good bit of play with new signing Glenn Middleton.
His partnership with Florian Kamberi was used to great effect in this match. Allan set up his Swiss teammate on two occasions, the third time they have linked up to create a goal this term.
People questioned whether Allan could meet the standard expected of him after a year out in the cold at Celtic. After seven competitive matches, he’s already shown he is Hibs’ star man this year.
Allan has scored or notched an assist in every game he has started this term. In his first seven appearances, the 27-year-old has four goals and four assists.
Hibs fans will hope Allan continues this purple patch of form. Their side would be the lost without the creative midfielder right now.
