We’ve been working our way through these lists during the international break and we’ve landed at our wingers.
Having looked at the Premiership’s best goalkeepers, centre-backs, full-backs and centre-midfielders, it’s time to look at a more exciting type of player in the shape of wide men.
Due to the fact 3-5-2 is a popular formation in the league and not many teams play with actual wingers, the list isn’t that extensive but there are still some quality players in there.
Here is Not the Old Firm’s best Premiership wingers so far.

Topi Keskinen – Aberdeen
Aberdeen are believed to have paid close to £1million for the Finland winger, and he has shown why. The 21-year-old has played in five Premiership games and scored two goals, assisting one. He looks direct with an intent to attack so looks likely to keep adding to those numbers.
Jamie McGrath – Aberdeen
Talking of impressive numbers, McGrath has been operating on the left for the Dons and and has really been turning it on as they fly high at the top of the league. The 28-year-old sits joint top in the league for chances created AND big chances created and is the highest scoring non-Old Firm player for expected assists.
Matty Kennedy – Kilmarnock
Kilmarnock’s Matty Kennedy is the man McGrath is joint with for chances created so far this season, both with 20. Kennedy was in the shadow of Danny Armstrong last season but has led the way so far this campaign, even with Derek McInnes’ side struggling for results.
Shayden Morris – Aberdeen
Morris is very much a squad man for Aberdeen with McGrath and Keskinen ahead of him. But he has contributed two assists from two starts and five subs appearances. He also sits third for expected assists per 90, the highest non-Old Firm player.
Danny Armstrong – Kilmarnock
Armstrong, like Killie, hasn’t started this season as he performed the last. But he has still been pretty good. According to Fot Mob he is in the top 2 per cent for chances created and he does have two assists to show for it too.
