Aberdeen winger Scott Wright could end up joining Rangers in the January transfer window, according to a report.
It’s reported that the Dons are open to a deal which would see the 23-year-old move to Ibrox in the current window, rather than leave on a pre-contract agreement.
Rangers set to talk to player
It emerged on Monday that Rangers were set to talk to the player about signing a pre-contract deal with the Ibrox club. His contract expires at the end of the season.

However, the report discloses that Aberdeen could be keen on a deal which would see the Pittodrie club either receive a fee for the player, or a player swap could be the solution.
It will be interesting to see what Aberdeen decide to do. They won’t want a player on the books that doesn’t want to be at the club.
Been a first-team regular when fit
Even a player like Wright, who has been a first-team regular this season when fit. Therefore, Derek McInnes and Aberdeen might feel that it is for the best now for the player to leave in the January transfer window.

They could use the fee to bring another player in. Or, maybe there is a player at Rangers who they want to swap for. Only time will tell on that front.
However, both teams might want to get the deal sorted as soon as possible. It won’t make sense for either party to drag the deal out for a while. It remains to be seen if Scott Wright will play for Aberdeen again. Or if his next appearance will be in a Rangers shirt.
