Aberdeen have been linked with a move for Arsenal academy product Jay Emmanuel-Thomas as his contract expires at Livingston (Scottish Sun).
The forward has hit form for Livi this season following a spell in Thailand, scoring nine goals in 30 appearances. Emmanuel-Thomas is an Arsenal academy graduate and made appearances for the Gunners first-team before forging a career in the English Football League.
Livingston manager David Martindale has already confirmed he will leave Livingston at the end of the season as he stands on the brink of a mega-money switch to China or Thailand. If Aberdeen were to move for the Arsenal youth product, or any club in the UK, they would need to pay a fee.
Stephen Glass’ side close their Scottish Premiership campaign this afternoon against Rangers, the Pittodrie manager saying: “We will do what is best for us. We are going to try and win the game. We know how tough it will be. Every team that has gone there has found it tough this season, ourselves included.
“We have a final opportunity to go and win a match there. For me it is not about Rangers it is about what we do at the weekend. Everybody is fine for the game. There are no fresh injuries from the weekend.”
