Queen of the South manager Allan Johnston has backed Aidan Fitzpatrick to bounce back from his spell at Norwich City with the Scottish Championship club.
Fitzpatrick terminated his Norwich City spell during the summer after a loan spell at Palmerston last season. He won the move to Carrow Road off the back of form at Partick Thistle as a youngster but he was not able to replicate that south of the border.

He did impress Johnston during a loan spell at Queen of the South last season though and Fitzpatrick has now returned to take the number 11 shirt, vacated by club legend Stephen Dobbie’s departure. Johnston says he was keen to sign the young winger as soon as he was available for a permanent transfer to Dumfries.
The Queen of the South manager said: “Aidan is someone we know well. He earned his move from Partick to Norwich with his performances, but things haven’t worked out for him down south.
“We immediately showed our interest when he became available as he has the ability to cause teams problems. This gives us other options going forward and more competition for places and it gives him the chance to kick start his career again”.
