It’s reported that Celtic had rocked up in Perth to watch the 20-year-old midfielder, who made his Northern Ireland debut last week, featuring against Austria and Romania.
The playmaker has been a revelation since breaking into the Saints first-team under Tommy Wright. Overall, he has made 55 Perthshire appearances on top of a loan move to Stranraer.
McCann’s debut came against Albion Rovers in the 2017/18 season and he hasn’t looked back since. Interest was always bound to appear and now it appears Celtic have took note.
