Mikel Arteta says Scotland star Kieran Tierney could become Arsenal captain one day.
The left-back has been inspiring for Arsenal in recent weeks, scoring a goal and assisting on Saturday as the Gunners beat West Brom 4-0.

Arteta has been impressed this term and sees a player with skipper DNA: “I think Tierney can be Arsenal captain as he has the respect and admiration of every member of the staff and every player. He does it in a natural way. He is shy and so humble. He came here and it took him a while to settle.
“Kieran had a really bad shoulder injury and was away from home, and had some issues to adapt. But he is a natural leader. You see how he behaves on the pitch and when he talks, he says the right thing.
“Tierney is exactly what we are looking for, and I am so happy to have him in the team. He is a really shy boy, but he represents all of us in the club. He has all the values we want to instil and that are in the DNA of Arsenal. I see a player with enormous talent, with the perfect attitude and commitment.

“He is a joy to work with and I am so happy for him for the way he scored — and for everything he has put in to be better every day. In both phases he can do really well. Kieran can still improve, but he is a real threat in attack and really solid in defence.”
