Kilmarnock have pulled off their second piece of Deadline Day business, signing Zech Medley on loan from Arsenal.
Earlier in the day, Killie signed Brandon Pierrick from Crystal Palace. Now they go to the other side of London for their latest swoop, signing Arsenal defender Medley on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old will be added to the club’s defensive options following recent injuries to Kirk Broadfoot and Stuart Findlay. Medley joined his boyhood club Arsenal midway through the 2016/17 campaign.
He has since made seven appearances at the Emirates and spent the first half of this season on loan at Gillingham in League One, where he featured 18 times. He is the second Gunner to move to the SPFL this window, Matt Macey joining Hibs in January.
Kilmarnock’s next match is against Celtic on Tuesday night. The Rugby Park club are currently without a manager after the departure of Alex Dyer at the weekend following a 3-2 home defeat to St Johnstone.
