Aberdeen have been handed a welcome lift, with news that Jon Gallagher is likely to feature this weekend (Daily Record, 18/09/19, page 43).
It was initially feared that the Irishman had fractured his tibula in the 1-1 draw with St Johnstone.

An x-ray has shown that no such damaged has been caused, a brilliant lift for both player and his manager Derek McInnes.
He is scheduled in to return to full training tomorrow ahead of the weekend’s match against Livingston.
Gallagher boost eases Aberdeen injury woes
The Dons were rocked by midfield injuries on Saturday, with three players in that area picking up knocks. Craig Bryson and Funso Ojo, along with Gallagher, were feared injured.

Whilst doubts remain over Bryson and Ojo, their Atlanta loanee seems to be okay. That’s good news, considering Lewis Ferguson may be the only other available midfielder.
Stephen Gleeson is also due back in training, with McInnes confirming he may be offered a chance to resurrect his Dons career when fit (Daily Record, 17/09/19, page 45 ).
This is all good news for Aberdeen ahead of a tough match against Livingston. The West Lothian side are currently level on points with Aberdeen, having lost just one of their five opening games.

Aberdeen have a good record over them in recent times though, not losing any of their last eight matches and winning five of those meetings.
Gallagher’s fitness is a help for McInnes, who will be glad just to have some added options come Saturday.
