Blackburn Rovers centre-back Tyler Magloire has signed for Motherwell on loan until the end of the season.

Graham Alexander’s team were certainly busy on Deadline Day and now a new player has been announced after the deadline. The 22-year-old defender will be a Motherwell player until the end of the season. He has made two Rovers appearances and spent time in the first half of this term on loan at Hartlepool United.

Alexander confirmed on Tuesday morning that he was looking forward to working with the squad at his disposal following a hectic month at Fir Park, which has meant he’s had to adapt to his new position as Motherwell manager on top of the January transfer window.

On Deadline Day alone, the Steelmen signed Jordan Roberts and Eddie Nolan on loan from Hearts and Crewe Alexandra respectively. Robbie Crawford, Charles Dunne and Stephen O’Donnell also signed extensions until the end of the season.

Harry Robinson and Jamie Semple were then recalled from their loan spells in the Championship and League One. Sam Foley, Harry Smith, Steven Lawless and Liam Kelly also arrived at Motherwell in what was a hectic January.

Speaking on his recruit from Blackburn Rovers, Alexander said: “We needed competition for the right side of defence and Tyler will provide that. He ticks those boxes of what we are looking for. We’ve spoken to people at Blackburn Rovers, who rate him highly, and he’s got experience playing regularly this season in a winning team.

“We hope he can now make the step up in level for the rest of the season and make a contribution.”
