Hearts have confirmed the signing of 21-year-old Brighton and Hove Albion talent Alex Cochrane.
The left-back has represented England at youth level and joins Hearts on a season-long loan deal for the 2021/22 cinch Premiership campaign. Cochrane has first-team experience at Brighton and spent last season on loan at Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, where he helped them win the Belgian First Division B title.

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson said of the Brighton prospect: “I’m delighted to get the deal done for Alex to join us for the season ahead. He is a very highly-rated player with a good pedigree so I am looking forward to working with him.
“He will provide competition in the left side of defence, and his arrival also gives us the flexibility to change formation should we need to.”
