Hearts have confirmed the season-long loan signing of Bristol City centre-back Taylor Moore.

Gorgie manager Robbie Neilson was keen to bolster his side’s defensive ranks and is now able to do so through the Bristol City man. The 24-year-old has represented the English Championship club 59 times, scoring once. He has also spent time in France with RC Lens.

Moore would go on to make 10 appearances for them in the top flight of French football – Ligue 1. He joins Hearts ahead of their weekend match with Dundee United, the Tynecastle side enjoying an unbeaten start to the league season. This is Moore’s fifth loan after time at Bury, Cheltenham Town, Southend United and Blackpool.

Hearts sporting director Joe Savage said of the Bristol City loanee: “Our patience in this transfer window is paying off because we are attracting really high calibre players to the club. Taylor was very keen to come up to Hearts which is always a good sign and it shows how well this club is regarded.

“Our thanks go to Bristol City for their assistance with this move, and we’ll keep on working hard to make sure the manager has the squad he desires for our Premiership campaign.”
