St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson has outlined what his team must do if they are to stop Rangers from picking up three points at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday night.
The Ibrox side will be big favourites for the game, as they are currently 16 points ahead at the top of the Premiership table.
Manager has a plan
However, Davidson has a plan to try and pull off what would be a shock win. He wants his team to perform similarly to how they did when the teams met at Ibrox earlier this season. St Johnstone might have lost that game, but Davidson feels they can take encouragement from their performance.

“We played quite well that night but conceded at the wrong times, a free-kick and then a goal in the 44th minute” he said (The Courier).
“We need to be focused for 90 minutes – try and frustrate them. We need to make sure it is difficult for them to break us down. And when you get chances against the big teams it is so important that you take them.
“Need to do that again”
“We had actually limited Rangers to only a few chances. We need to do that again and press them in good areas. We can’t just sit in and defend for a whole game” he concluded.

It will be interesting to see what happens if St Johnstone can take the lead in the game. In their last two games, Rangers have struggled after going a goal behind. Scoring the first goal could give St Johnstone the best chance of picking up a result.
