Airdrie director of football Stuart Millar has confirmed there’s interest in star man Thomas Robert, amid links to the likes Celtic Park and Tannadice.
Reports circulated over the weekend that Celtic, Dundee United, Hibs, Hearts and Rangers were all after the Frenchman, with many English clubs also keeping tabs on him. It was said that Celtic have gone as far as scouting him in recent games against East Fife and Montrose.

Robert joined the Diamonds in the summer from Ligue 1 side Montpellier. The 20-year-old winger rejected a new deal in France’s top flight to explore senior options elsewhere, ending up in Airdrie.
It’s a move that has paid off so far, scooping League One Player of the Month once and Airdrie’s own internal POTM awards. Given the circumstances he joined Ian Murray’s side in, it’s hard to envisage moves to Celtic, Dundee United or anywhere else right now.
But that hasn’t quelled interest and Millar admits that it was inevitable: “We are aware a number of clubs are monitoring Thomas Robert’s situation.

“It’s no great surprise considering the impact the young lad has had in a short space of time at our club, winning both our club and divisional player of the month awards.”
Murray’s men lost in their most recent League One outing, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Montrose. Robert played 73 minutes as Celtic scout Tosh McKinlay watched on.
