St Johnstone were well worth their point against Celtic at Parkhead – and Callum Davidson reckons it could have been three points for his side.
Chris Kane put Saints ahead with just 10 minutes to go but Mohamed Elyounoussi equalised for Celtic. It’s a result that doubles mounting pressure on the Parkhead club but extends the good Perth run.

They are now 11 games unbeaten, the longest run in the club’s history as a Premiership side. After a mixed start to the season, St Johnstone have now hit top form and their Celtic Park result was another good display.
But for Davidson, there’s a frustration amongst the elation. He says that he feels slightly annoyed that Celtic weren’t left empty-handed, their next game to come against Livingston at McDiarmid Park next Saturday.
“I’m delighted,” said Davidson (Saints TV). “I think if you had said we’d take a point before the game I would have snapped your hand off. I thought we were fantastic, I thought we created some good chances.

“Zander Clark made some good saves as well. I wish Kane had scored in the 89th minute as it would have given us a better chance of winning the game! But I was delighted he got the goal.
“Sometimes when you come to these places you need a bit of luck and we didn’t quite get it at the end. I’m over the moon, the next step is turning the draws into wins. It’s a hard place to come.
“I’m a little bit frustrated we didn’t get three points but we take the point and move on.”
