Team news is in from Hampden as Celtic face Hearts in the Scottish Cup final.
Key winger Josh Ginnelly is only on the bench for the Jambos as they go for a defensive look on the left with Stephen Kingsley and Aidy White. Andy Halliday and Andy Irving make the engine room cut.
Celtic meanwhile have named their starting XI too. Neil Lennon hinted that players who helped the Hoops get to the final would be given a chance to shine in the Hampden showpiece. That’s proven to be the case, Scott Brown given the nod.
Hearts are looking to end Celtic dominance in the Scottish Cup, Lennon’s men looking to add a fourth successive treble to their history books at Hampden Park this afternoon. The red-hot Championship favourites stand in the way.
Robbie Neilson is aiming to become the first person outside of the Old Firm to win the major honour as both a player and a manager, having won the cup at Hearts in 2006. His team will pay tribute to late former Jambos captain Marius Zaliukas in this, wearing the number 26 on their shorts.
Here’s Hearts’ XI for the day at Hampden as well as the Celtic team they will need to conquer to make it a fourth Scottish Cup in 22 years.
