Jack Ross says he was taken aback by the decision to move Celtic v Hibs to a Monday night in January.
The fixture was originally scheduled to take place on a Saturday but has been moved to a Monday night to allow Celtic to travel to Dubai for a winter training camp. The Celtic Park decision left Hibees chief executive Leeann Dempster ‘fizzing.’

Ross himself was left perplexed by the situation but admits it’s just something his team will have to deal with: “I was surprised. I disagreed with the decision to move that fixture.
“It’s nothing to do with Celtic and they were well within their rights to request a fixture change, but it’s an SPFL decision and I think their reasoning and explanation is weak. There’s nothing we can do. But it’s done now.
“People mistake any complaint over that game being moved to believe it weakens you. It’s more to do with the way it came around and how easy it was for the SPFL to make that decision.

“I don’t think that’s been the case in the past, I don’t think it’s ever been as easy to request and for the SPFL to be so accommodating but it won’t impact our ability when the game comes around.
“It did disappoint me though with how it came around.”
