Victory at Celtic Park is a credit to all at Ross County according to star striker Ross Stewart.
The big forward was immense as the Staggies beat Celtic 2-0 to eliminate the holders from the League Cup. Stewart scored from the penalty spot before Alex Iacovitti scored late in the game to hand County victory. They will now face Livingston in the quarter-finals.

While headlines have been dominated by fan protests outside Celtic Park following this game as home fans showed their displeasure towards their team, there’s an ecstatic feeiling in the County camp. After a 3-1 defeat to 10-man Kilmarnock last weekend, this was a perfect response.
“It’s a great team performance coming off the back of a disappointing result last week.” said Stewart (Premier Sports). “To come to a place like this and play so well is a credit to the boys.
“I thought we thoroughly deserved the win. It’s all still a bit raw but we do realise how big a win this is. Not many teams come here and keep a clean sheet and win the game. I thought front to back you saw how good we were.

“Nobody really expected us to get a result which took some of the pressure off. To get the win now, we need to use it to get wins in the league.”
