Birmingham City are one of five English Championship clubs interested in Motherwell and Scotland full-back Stephen O’Donnell (Daily Mail).
The 29-year-old has turned into a Scotland hero over the weekend. After a disappointing result in the 2-0 defeat to Czech Republic last week at Euro 2020, O’Donnell responded with a huge display in a 0-0 Scotland draw with England, spiking interest from Birmingham City and others.

Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Barnsley and Derby County are all interested alongside Birmingham City. O’Donnell signed a two-year extension at Motherwell earlier this year but there is an exit clause in his contract. The right-back may be available for a modest fee.
O’Donnell is aware of criticism he receives when playing for Scotland, saying after the draw with England (BBC): “The only point I need to prove is to the manager. Time and again, he is questioned about me and sticks by me. It’s a great feeling to have when a manager trusts me and hopefully I repaid some of that.”
