Billy Gilmour has suffered a setback on his return from injury, the Chelsea midfielder sent off after a Scotland substitute appearance.
The teenager playmaker has been injured since July, suffering a torn meniscus whilst playing for Chelsea. A return has been hinted at by Blues boss Frank Lampard and with Scotland it came.

Chelsea agreed to let him link up with Scotland U21s as they bid to qualify for the Euro U21 tournament. It would also be a chance for Gilmour to get minutes ahead of a potential domestic return.
A setback was had during a 2-2 draw with Croatia on Thursday afternoon. The away team raced into a two goal lead before half-time, Glenn Middleton getting one back for Scotland after half-time.
Gilmour made his anticipated return on the hour mark but it would last just 12 minutes. After giving away a foul, he said something to the referee, who quickly brandished a red card to the Chelsea teen.

Now he will be suspended for the trip to Greece next week, missing out on crucial minutes and a chance to secure tournament qualification.
