Chelsea manager Frank Lampard hasn’t ruled out a loan move for Billy Gilmour – but he says that’ll only be contemplated in January.
The teenager is set to make his first start since the summer this evening when Chelsea play Krasnodar in a dead-rubber Champions League group match, with the Blues already qualified for the last 16.

For Scotland’s teenage talent though it’s a big game, as it will be his first senior start since returning from a torn meniscus in July. He made his return in Champions League action last week against Seville.
But now a start beckons for him. His week hasn’t gone without transfer speculation though, reports in Italy suggesting a loan move to Napoli next month could be on the cards.
Lampard, whilst not ruling out a potential loan move, says it will be reviewed next month: “I don’t want to have that thought or conversation until the window opens and it’s not open now.

“I value him a lot in this squad. You can say we have a lot of options in this squad but that can quickly change as you’ve seen with the winger situation.
“So I don’t want to think about that until the window opens.”
