Aberdeen goal hero Connor McLennan has lauded Stevie May after his pass set up McLennan for his goal against Rangers at Ibrox.
With the game hanging in the balance, May’s deft through set up McLennan whose goal gave the Dons an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Now McLennan has paid tribute to his team-mate.

“I celebrated with Stevie after it went in” he told the Evening Express.
“I appreciate what he does, he works tirelessly and provided me with that goal – I can’t thank him enough.”
May might not have scored that many goals for Aberdeen this season – he has three in total. But his assist was worth its’ weight in gold for the Dons.

Now the Dons are in the Scottish Cup semi-final, with Celtic standing between Derek McInnes’ side and a place in the final.
Ironically, despite May’s excellent assist in the quarter-final, he might not start the semi-final.

Aberdeen top scorer Sam Cosgrove was suspended for the game at Ibrox. However, he will be available for the match at Hampden.
He seems certain to start against Celtic, the same can’t be said for May.
It would ironic if May, after helping Aberdeen reach the semi-final, didn’t feature in the game itself.
That decision is for the future. For now, Aberdeen fans everywhere will be saluting May for his contribution against Rangers.
