St Johnstone have announced Craig Conway will leave the Perth club upon the expiry of his contract alongside Sunderland transfer target Guy Melamed.

The McDiarmid Park side had offered Melamed a new deal but he will leave St Johnstone when his one-year deal expires this month. Melamed confirmed in May that English League One side Sunderland were interested in him after a brilliant term with Callum Davidson’s side.

Conway also departs after 35 appearances in his sole season with the Saints. Both Conway and Sunderland target Melamed are club legends after helping St Johnstone to a historic League Cup and Scottish Cup double in the 2020/21 season. John Robertson also leaves while loan duo James Brown and Glenn Middleton return to their parent clubs.

Youngsters Olly Hamilton, Ben Finnan, Michael MacFarlane, Lennon Smith and Aiden Walsh are also leaving St Johnstone. The club are in talks with Scott Tanser and Michael O’Halloran – the latter on St Mirren’s transfer list – over new deals.
