Hearts fans on the whole are not enthused by the appointment of Neil Critchley as their new manager.
The 45-year-old was recently sacked by English League One side Blackpool and his last stint as a boss was a disastrous one at QPR, winning just one from his 12 games in charge and being binned after just two months.
The Jambos have used Jamestown Analaytics in their search for to fill the Tynecastle and supporters were expecting a left-field appointment, perhaps a foreigner with a strong track record. As a result, they’ve been left divided over Critchley coming in.
But CEO Andrew McKinlay insists he is excited by what lies ahead and that the data pinpointed the 45-year-old as the ideal candidate.
He will get the chance to start proving that when they face St Mirren at home tomorrow.

Gordon message to Hearts fans about Critchley negativity
The Hearts legend is adamant that supporters are jumping the gun by being downbeat before a ball has even been kicked. He says players have been happy with training and asked for the new boss to be given a chance.
He said: “It’s up to us to win games, if we win games [the negative reaction] will soon change. It’s everyone’s responsibility to rally and get ourselves out this predicament.
“Everybody deserves a chance, it’s quite clearly way too early to be negative about it. It’s been a robust process going down the analytics route and that seems to be the way forward.
“It is going to be good, I spoke to a few of the players and they were happy with training, and are looking forward to getting started.”
Gordon reveals Hearts meeting with Critchley
Gordon has been on international duty, earning his 77th cap with a brilliant display to earn a clean sheet against Portugal.
But he revealed he has managed to meet his new boss and had a good chat.
“I spoke to the new manager just before he got announced,” the 41-year-old explained.
“He was at the team hotel and I managed to grab a couple of minutes in passing just to touch base and wish him all the best, it was a general chat.
“It’s a new era for us back at Hearts, an exciting one. I’m looking forward to getting back there and getting started.”
