David Gray doesn’t expect Hibs fans to be nervous heading into the club’s game against Dundee United on Sunday.
The Hibees are on a rotten run of form with just one win from 10 matches in the Premiership so far this season.
They currently occupy the relegation play-off spot with only city neighbours Hearts below them with a point less gained.

Hibs took a point against Ross County in midweek but their last win came on September 14 against St Johnstone.
And now they face Dundee United who Hibs completely collapsed against at Tannadice just a couple of weeks ago despite leading the game in the 93rd minute.

Gray previews Hibs vs Dundee United
One reporter at Gray’s pre-match press conference claimed Hibs fans will be feeling ‘nervous’ heading into the United encounter after what happened versus the Arabs recently.
But Gray rejected this and thinks supporters turning up at Easter Road on Sunday will be feeling ‘optimistic’ despite the club’s ropey form.
Gray told the press at his pre-match media conference: “I don’t know why they would be feeling nervous. They’ll be coming into the game with optimism and get right behind us like the last game in the derby.
“The atmosphere was fantastic right from the start and I expect it to be the same. As I said, it’s an opportunity for us at home to go try and get three points and it’s an opportunity for the players should be looking forward to.”
Hibs focus now on scoring more goals
Hibs managed to stem the tide of conceding too many goals with a clean sheet in Dingwall on Wednesday evening.
But there were no goals scored at the other end and with that, Hibs are now the least threatening attacking force in the league with just nine netted.
Asked what is being done to address the lack of productivity in front of goal, Gray responded: “The more confident you are, the more likely you are to be successful.
“I think the one message from myself and the staff is about confidence and giving the players the belief and freedom in the final third to express themselves and that hasn’t changed.
“I think we’re getting there to the point of creating the chances. It’s just that final bit. The positives to take from it (the Ross County draw) is going the other way, I know a lot has been said about us in recent weeks defensively.
“I know it finished 0-0, that’s great and positive, kept a clean sheet. But attention now is on us not scoring enough goals so we know we need to improve in both areas and we will continue to do that.”
