Falkirk co-manager David McCracken his players not to be overawed by the prospect of facing Rangers in the League Cup on Sunday.
The League One leaders are in a good run of form at the moment, but they face a difficult task against the runaway Scottish Premiership leaders, who have yet to taste defeat domestically this season.
Manager hopes team can show how far it has progressed
Even though Falkirk will be big underdogs for the game, McCracken hopes that his players go out and enjoy themselves, so show how far they have come as a side.

“It’s a big game. It’s a great opportunity for some of them to play against the standard of Rangers. We know it’s achievable to get a result. At the same time you’ve got to respect the standard that Rangers are playing at, they are without doubt the in-form team in the country.”
McCracken then explained what he is going to tell the Falkirk players in the run-up to the kick-off on Sunday evening.
“A great opportunity”
“For us it’s more about explaining to the boys it’s a great opportunity to go and show where we’ve come as a team since last year. Take the opportunity and enjoy the game, enjoy the chance to play against Rangers.”

As McCracken says, Falkirk obviously have to respect Rangers, who are the best team in Scotland at the moment. However, he also points out that he is looking for his Falkirk players to enjoy the game, as playing against Rangers doesn’t happen that often for League One sides.
It will be interesting to see how Falkirk fare in what will be a big test of how far they have come this season.
