Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has admitted that he’s been blown away with Bruce Anderson’s form on loan at Dunfermline – and credited him with the Pars’ rise up the table.
Anderson has hit the net four times in seven appearances since heading for Fife as he looks to impress McInnes and his watching staff.
The Dons boss thinks Anderson has been “on fire” at East End Park and McInnes is told how he is regularly receiving reports on his performances.
“Wee Bruce is on fire,” McInnes told the Press and Journal.
“His report last week (against Alloa) was that he didn’t do a lot in the game but he took his goal brilliantly.Since Bruce has gone there they have gone right up.”
With Sam Cosgrove in fantastic form for the Dons just now, seeing Anderson impress at Dunfermline will give McInnes more options going into next season.
The young striker looks to have benefited from getting regular first-team football and the Dons should look to make the most of that when he returns to Pittodrie.
As McInnes braces himself for a number of senior stars potentially leaving this summer, the emergence of young talent like Anderson comes at the perfect time for Aberdeen.
