Dundee United have announced fans will be able to purchase a Celtic v Dundee United stream then the Arabs head to Parkhead this weekend – but have confirmed they are ‘disappointed’ that visiting fans remained locked out.

The Parkhead side refused to allow allocations to visiting fans this season, citing the need for a Red Zone for players, despite swathes of empty seats in the East End of Glasgow.

United had planned to hold a ‘beam back’ event inside Tannadice but have now had to cancel that as a result of Celtic making a pay-per-view stream available online for fans in the UK.

The Arabs issued a brief update on Twitter this afternoon, as Thomas Courts’ side prepare for the trip to face Celtic on Sunday, days after being knocked out of the League Cup by Hibs at Tannadice, saying: “After discussions with Celtic FC, PPV for fans in UK and Ireland has now been confirmed.

“Subsequently, we will no longer be looking to hold a beam back event inside Tannadice. We remain disappointed that no United fans will be in attendance at Celtic Park.”

Fans will have to pay £12.99 to watch the Celtic v Dundee United stream with the Terrors looking to pick up points and continue their strong start to the Premiership season that sees them sit three points off leaders Rangers.
