Aberdeen defender Dominic Ball has revealed that he is eager to sign for the club on a permanent deal. Ball is currently on loan at the Dons from Rotherham United. But he would like to stay at the club beyond the end of the season.

“My contract’s up at the end of the season but I really don’t know what’s going to happen at the moment” he told the Press and Journal.

” I’m just trying to play as many games as I can at the moment then see what develops but it would appeal to me to stay here.”

Ball has been an important player for the Dons this season. He has made 30 appearances and was most recently part of the side which knocked Rangers out of the Scottish Cup.

The fact that Ball is out of contract at the end of the season is interesting. It could make it easier for a deal to be agreed.

Derek McInnes will be eager to get a deal done. Ball has performed well for the Dons in a variety of positions, most notably at right-back and in midfield.

Ball’s future plans remain up in the air. But Dons fans will be hoping that the club manages to convince him to stay.
