Dundee announced on their website a short time ago that the club have agreed to sign Paul McMullan on a pre-contract agreement.
The player is set to join the Dens Park side from city rivals Dundee United. McMullan, who is 24-years-old, has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Tannadice line-up this season.
Therefore, he has agreed to a move literally across the street to Dens Park. McMullan certainly seems to be a more than decent signing from Dundee. He performed well last season for United in helping them to the top of the Championship before the season was curtailed.
Could perhaps attempt to get deal done sooner
If he can replicate that form with Dundee, they could have a very good player on their books. It will be interesting to see if Dundee attempt to get the deal done in the current transfer window.

Perhaps that would be a good idea. After all, Dundee are well in the hunt for the promotion play-off places. A signing like McMullan, who has done well in the Championship before, could be a real boost to the promotion campaign.
However, that might well depend on United managing to sign a replacement for McMullan. If they are able to do that, then there is no real reason for the move not to proceed in the January window.
Even if it canโt be completed in January, Dundee look to have made a good signing. Some Dundee fans on social media were impressed with the deal.
Fans seem pleased with deal
One fan was particularly pleased that the player was pictured in a Scotland shirt and not a Dundee United one.
