Dundee have had a swap deal involving Rangers midfielder Ross McCrorie thrown out, according to a report.
The Dens Park side wanted to bring the Scotland Under-21 skipper in on loan until the end of the season.

Midfielder Glen Kamara would have headed in the opposite direction, according to the Daily Record’s report.
Dundee are short on numbers and McCrorie would have made a solid addition.
His versatility would have given Jim McIntyre a few different options in midfield and defence.

After Kamara agreed a pre-contract at Ibrox, McIntyre wants to move him on immediately.
McCrorie has started the Gers last three league games and appears to be part of Steven Gerrard’s plans.
After signing former Ross County skipper Andrew Davies, the defender broke his foot in a bounce game and faces two months out.
The Daily Record also report that both sides are willing to do a swap so it could still see someone head to Tayside from Ibrox.

Midfielder Jordan Rossiter would be the most obvious choice as he tries to re-eastablish himself following injury.
The Englishman has barely featured since arriving at Ibrox in 2016.
Now that he’s injury-free, a loan move to Dens could suit as he looks to rebuild his fitness.
One way or another, it looks certain that Kamara will leave Dundee this month.
