Dundee manager James McPake has admitted that he is concerned that a recent injury suffered by striker Alex Jakubiak may keep him out of action for the rest of the season.
The former Watford striker has played four games after suffering an ankle problem. But now McPake has confirmed that the player has a thigh injury that will keep him out of action for a long time.
Definitely out for two months
Indeed, McPake isn’t sure if the 24-year-old will return this season. However, the player will definitely miss two months of action. That will keep him out until around the end of February.

“Alex Jakubiak has a tendon issue in his thigh and he will see a specialist, but it is looking like he will be out for months” he said (The Courier).
“Hopefully he will be back before the end of the season, but he will miss eight weeks minimum”.
McPake has admitted that he feels sorry for the player because of the injury problems that he has suffered this season.
“It is gutting”
“It is gutting for Alex as he had worked so hard to get back from his ankle problem, and he was starting to look the part” McPake remarked.

The striker has been limited to only four appearances for Dundee this season. The injury blow is not only bad news for the player, but also for the club.
It makes Dundee’s task of returning to the Premiership all that bit harder. Still, these injuries happen in football, and McPake will be hoping that Jakubiak returns sooner than expected.
