It has been confirmed that Manchester United are hot on the heels of Dundee United prospect Kerr Smith (The Courier).
Still only 15, first-team manager Micky Mellon handed him a senior opportunity against Sheffield United in a friendly earlier this season. But now the likes of Manchester United are after the defender.

Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa have already made their interest in the youngster known. Smith will sign a pro contract in the winter but his destination is still undecided.
It would appear as if he would have plenty of options, Manchester United the most high-profile after impressing whilst on trial. Dundee United still remain hopeful that senior football in the more immediate future could tempt the youngster into staying.
Fellow Arab youngster Lewis Neilson has been handed his shot aged just 17 but the chance to go to one of football’s giants could prove too good to turn down.

Sporting Director Tony Asghar confirmed the news: “Plenty of clubs have asked to have a look at him but we can’t let him go to them all. We’re delighted that he’s had this chance at Villa and now Manchester United. He’s trained very well at both, I believe.”
