Dundee United have reportedly rejected advances from Premier League side Crystal Palace for young star Scott Banks.
According to the Evening Telegraph, the ‘word from London’ is that United aren’t willing to do business with the Eagles in regards to Banks.

It states that the Tangerines have rejected a six-figure bid for the 17-year-old according to reports down south. It also notes that United themselves refused to comment on the matter.
Dundee United must prepare for more Banks interest
If reports are to be believed, United were right to reject the initial Crystal Palace advances. The Daily Record claimed recently that the London club were set to table an offer of £400k for Banks.
In today’s market that is too low. Palace are not short on cash and would be able to match any asking price the Tannadice club ask for.

It’s just a case of how badly they want him. For that reason, United must prepare for new bids. As Banks develops at the rate he is doing just now, interest will grow.
Should Banks fulfill his potential, he’ll be worth much more than a reported £400k. Palace surely know that and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them come back with an improved offer.
With just days remaining in the English transfer window, they’ll need to move quick if they want to tempt United with another offer.
