The fourth Dundee derby of the season is almost upon us as United gun for revenge.
Jim Goodwin’s side were knocked out of the Scottish Cup by their city rivals in the last meeting, a 1-0 defeat at Dens Park.
But it’s the Tangerines who are having the far better season and a victory would put them level on points with Hibs in third, potentially leapfrogging them depending on how many goals are in it.
Dundee need the points for much different reasons as they look to avoid relegation. A disastrous run has them right in contention and they will look to move within touching distance of Kilmarnock in 10th.
Despite losing the cup tie, United have the bragging rights in the league after a 2-1 victory following on from a draw on the opening day of the season.
Back to the present day though and the teams are now in for this one.
