As we come to the end of 2020, and into the transfer window opening in January, at NTOF we thought we’d take a look at three Scottish Premiership players that could be January transfer window targets.
Perhaps come the end of the window the trio of players will still be at the clubs they are currently with. However, we predict that these three players will be in high demand in the January window.
Benjamin Siegrist
The Dundee United goalkeeper has been in fantastic form in his first season in the Premiership. He showed an early indication of how good he can be with a great performance against Celtic in August. That form has continued, most recently he helped United earn a point against Hibernian with a wonderful display.

United boss Micky Mellon is well-aware of how good the player is. In fact, he told NTOF he is going to ‘turn his phone off’ so he doesn’t hear about any prospective bids. Still, Celtic in particular have had goalkeeping issues, and a recent report (Daily Mail) claims that the Scottish champions are interested in signing the player in January. United will no doubt do all they can to keep the 28-year-old. He could be the difference between them making the top six or not.
Ross Stewart
The 24-year-old striker has been excellent for Ross County over the last few seasons. He has scored 28 goals for them in total. But, unfortunately for the Staggies, he is out of contract at the end of the season. They won’t want to, but the Dingwall based side might have to consider cashing in on the player in January.

The player has been linked (Daily Record) to Dundee United, Aberdeen and a host of English clubs recently. No doubt new County manager John Hughes will be working his magic trying to persuade the player to stay at the club, and help fight the battle against relegation. Only time will tell if he is successful or not, but don’t be surprised if bids for the player are made.
Allan Campbell
Allan Campbell is the latest youngster to impress at Motherwell, following in the footsteps of David Turnbull. He has played exceptionally well in the middle of the park for the Steelmen since breaking into the first team. His contract expires at the end of the season. No doubt Stephen Robinson will be eager to get the player tied down on a new one.

The player was linked (Daily Record) with a move to Hibernian in the last transfer window, but obviously that didn’t happen. After losing Turnbull to Celtic, the Fir Park club will not want to lose the 22-year-old in the next transfer window. Only time will tell what will happen on that front. However, as with the other players on the list, it would be no shock to see bids in January.
