Lawrence Shankland has been linked with a move away from Dundee United once again – but the recent link to Burnley isn’t a permanent one.
The Scotland international has had no shortage of interest since moving to Tannadice as the transfer deadline looms large. Burnley have been linked with a move for his services before the imminent deadline on Monday.

Sean Dyche’s club are said to be interested in a loan move for the Tangerine attacker (Daily Mail). They have apparently asked if £500k would be enough to take Shankland to Turf Moor for the season.
Clarets scouts were in attendance on Friday night as Dundee United returned to action against Livingston. Shankland wasn’t able to display his talents though, isolated as Micky Mellon’s side struggled in a 2-1 defeat to the Lions.
Burnley are also said to like the look of Logan Chalmers but it’s United’s main forward who they are interested in for now.
Mellon knows many would like his striker on their books as Premier League Burnley are added to the list of reported admirers.
