Dunfermline boss Stevie Crawford has disclosed that he is satisfied with the team’s performances so far this season, despite a recent indifferent run of form.
As it stands the Pars are currently in third place in the Championship table, level on points with second place Raith. The teams met at East End Park tonight, and Crawford feels that although recent results have been disappointing, he is pleased with how the season has gone so far.
“Make small steps”
“We got off to a terrific start. To be up there at the top of the league there was a feelgood factor about the place. Realistically I’ve always said we’re a club that’s got to make small steps moving in the right direction” he said.

“There is an element of disappointment at the moment that we’ve just not won enough games of football. But we can’t let that affect us. I think you’ve got to take the positivity from it.
“At the right end”
“Having won only two games out of the last nine in the league, we still find ourselves at the right end of the table. It’s a competitive league, but we’ve got to make sure that we’re doing enough in games to score goals, and win games of football and that’s the challenge that every manager faces” Crawford said.

As Crawford says, Dunfermline’s recent form has been indifferent. However, a win over Raith tonight would take the team clear in second place in the Championship table. That is a tribute to how well Dunfermline have played for the majority of the season.
