Dunfermline’s change of management last week has thrown the Pars’ players future into the air.

But for one, it could actually lead to a recall at his parent club after their own recent managerial change.

Dundee midfielder James Vincent has been on loan with Dunfermline since last January but could now return to Dens Park.

After Stevie Crawford replaced Allan Johnston at East End Park, Vincent’s future in Fife is unclear.

A shortage of midfielders at his parent club Dundee could yet hand him an extraordinary reprieve.

The 29-year-old made the last of his 37 appearances for Dundee in September 2017.

Vincent has managed 35 appearances during his spell with Dunfermline.

Glen Kamara’s potential move to Rangers this month could make things worse for new Dundee boss Jim McIntyre.

There’s alway the chance the Dee dive into the transfer market and add a new face.

But after three signings already this month, there might not be the funds available for more signings.

With Dundee rooted to the bottom of the Scottish Premiership table, they need all the help they can get.

Vincent’s contract at Dens Park ends at the end of the season after moving to Dundee from Inverness in 2016.

With both sides in Scottish Cup action this weekend, it will be interesting to see who he appears for.
