Interim Falkirk manager Gary Holt has moved to bring in former Norwich City U23s coach Dale Brooks as his assistant manager until the end of the season.

The pair worked together during Holt’s first stint in charge at Falkirk between 2013-14 before the pair both departed for Norwich City to become part of Alex Neil’s plans at Carrow Road. Now they will work together again to aid Falkirk’s League One promotion bid.

Head of the Development Squad Ian Fergus and Interim Goalkeeping Coach Jonathan Craig will make up the rest of the League One club’s coaching staff for the remainder of the season alongside the former Norwich City coaches. Falkirk travel to Partick Thistle this evening, with a win for the Firhill team enough to secure the title.

It would confirm Holt will have to guide his team through the promotion play-offs if they want to play Scottish Championship football next season. Initially brought in as sporting director earlier this year, Holt has taken temporary charge after former managers Lee Miller and David McCracken were dismissed earlier this month as their lead at the top of the table vanished.
