Barry Douglas could be set for a move to Italy with Serie B side Brescia following the former Dundee United left-back’s departure from Leeds United (DR).

The left-back is on the move from Leeds United permanently after his contract expired upon the completion of a loan stint at Blackburn Rovers. He has previously spent time abroad with Polish outfit Lech Poznan and Turkish club Konyaspor.

Now Italy could beckon for the ex-Dundee United defender, with ambitious Brescia offering him the chance to move to Italy after Leeds United. A contract has been offered to Douglas, despite interest from the English Championship.

Douglas started his career with Queen’s Park before going on to feature for Dundee United. The 31-year-old has been capped by Scotland and is highly-regarded for his contributions at both Leeds United and Wolves south of the border.
