Dundee technical director Gordon Strachan has assured the Scottish Premiership club that he will continue to operate in his role at Dens Park, despite work with Celtic.

The former Celtic manager has rejoined his former club on a short-term consultancy basis to help with areas like the academy at Parkhead. Reports suggested Strachan would leave his role at Dundee to take up his work in Glasgow, but this will not be the case. Strachan has confirmed he will be able to do both jobs effectively.

He said: “I am really looking forward to returning to Celtic.  The development of young players and seeing them improve and grow is a real passion for me.

“I will do anything I can to support the club in these areas.

“I also look forward to continuing my work at Dundee FC where I have established a great working relationship and close bond with the manager, managing director, staff and coaches.”
