In a way, it is not a surprise that the management duo have signed a new deal at Aberdeen. Aberdeen are in need of stability, especially with a move to a new stadium on the agenda.
The Dons have been Celtic’s biggest challengers in the league recently but Aberdeen did slump to a fourth placed finish last season.
Fan hopes for more trophies at Pittodrie

The board at Pittodrie will be hoping for better in the league season to come. One interesting note to take from the comments on social media is the supporter hoping that the Dons management team can ‘show more than one league cup’.
That is of course a reference to the fact that since McInnes took over as Aberdeen boss, the Dons have only managed to win one trophy.
They have reached three finals since then, so there is hope that another trophy can be won by McInnes.
