Hearts boss Robbie Neilson has enthused over the arrival of new signing Armand Gnanduillet. The 25-year-old striker joined the Tynecastle club after leaving Turkish side Altay.
However, he is most well-known for a spell at Blackpool, which saw him score 43 goals over four seasons. Now he has joined Hearts, as the club aims to clinch promotion back to the Scottish Premiership. The forward has sign
He is a player that the Hearts boss is looking forward to working with.
“It’s no secret we’ve been looking for a striker, and I’m delighted to get Armand in because he ticks all of the boxes. He’s quick, strong and has a real presence about him and, of course, he can score goals” he said (official Hearts website).
The Hearts manager also disclosed that the Tynecastle had seen off other interested clubs to sign the player.
“A lot of interest”
“There was a lot of interest in him elsewhere from some big clubs so to get him signed up is a bit of coup. He’ll bring something different to the team, and I’m looking forward to working with him” Neilson concluded.
It will be interesting to see if Gnanduillet is involved for Hearts when they take on Raith Rovers tonight. Hearts lost to Raith at Tynecastle on Saturday.
However, if Gnanduillet is involved that could give Raith something different to think about. A win for Hearts would move them nine points clear at the top of the league table. That could be reason enough for Neilson to involve the new arrival.
