The Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Hearts might be 10 days away, but that isn’t stopping the game from being discussed, especially as it comes during a very poor run of form for Celtic.
Neil Lennon’s team are in their poorest run of form for a long time. They have won only two of the club’s last 12 games, have been knocked out of Europe and the Betfred Cup, and trail Rangers by double figures in the Premiership table.
Must fancy their chances
With that in mind, Hearts might have much more of a chance in the cup final than people originally thought. Celtic will still be favourites for the game, but Robbie Neilson’s side must fancy their chances of causing an upset.

Neilson is keeping cagey about his team’s prospects of victory though. He feels that Celtic’s form could improve ahead of the cup final.
“In football, when a team isn’t doing as well as it has previously, there will always be rumblings in the background. It’s important to remember Celtic have lost one cup tie in four years” he said.
“Won a lot of trophies”
“Celtic have players who have won a lot of trophies and played in big-pressure games. They are a team who can turn it round overnight” he went on.

Neilson then mused that should Celtic defeat Lille in the Europa League on Thursday night then Kilmarnock in the Premiership on Sunday they will be in a different frame of mind for the cup final.
“They play tonight and then again on Sunday. If they get back-to-back wins then it’s a different beast you’re facing” he concluded.
