Hearts fans love themselves a cult hero.

Think Ricardo Fuller, Pasquale Bruno, Jose Quitongo, Phil Stamp and Juanjo to name but a few.

Not quite legends of the club but beloved by the fan base for reasons varying from flamboyance and entertainment to big moments like derby goals against Hibs.

Clevid Dikamona is a man who falls into the cult hero category.

One performance at Easter Road helps in that regard but so does giving himself the nickname ‘Jambo soldier’.

Hearts hero Clevid Dikamona trolls Martin Boyle

The former centre-back, now an agent working back in France, still has a picture of Tynecastle as his header photo on X.

And he has endeared himself to the Gorgie faithful even further with his latest post.

The 34-year-old took to the social media platform while watching AC Milan turn over Real Madrid by three goals to one, bemoaning the fact Madrid were making Lucas Vázquez defend against Rafael Leão.

And the ribbing of Hibs’ Martin Boyle came after one Hearts fan replied to say Dikamona would have pocketer Leao if up against him.

The Frenchman replied: “It will probably be more difficult than it was with Martin Boyle.”

Hearts fans were loving it and one said “Uncle Clev come home”, with another replying “Get him a statue already.”

However, Hibees fans were on the other end of the scale and one said: “Were never able to do your talking on the pitch 50 appearances in 6 years stick to twitter you clown.”

Another added: “50 appearances in 6 year. stick to the twitter mate.”

Dikamona wasn’t about to take it lying down and bit back: “Someone tell him? or we leave him in ignorance,” clearly referencing the fact he has actually been retired for a number of years.

Dikamona teases Hearts return

In amongst the other replies to the post was another Jam Tarts fan who wrote: “Clevid i love you big man please come home.”

The man himself replied “I will”, with an hour glass emoji.

Dikamona now works as an agent and has previously told how he came close to doing a deal to take one of his players to Hearts.

The possible return he teases could be in that capacity or could just be a desire to get back and take in a game sometime.
