Hearts will not be in action this weekend after their Scottish Cup tie against either Camelon or Brora Rangers was postponed.
The Tynecastle club were set to play winners of tonight’s Scottish Cup replay between Camelon and Brora Rangers. However, that game has been postponed.
No game this weekend
The game is now scheduled for Saturday, which means that Hearts will not be in action this weekend.
That will be a bit annoying for manager Robbie Neilson. He would have been eager to Hearts back in action after the recent 3-1 defeat to Dundee.
However, he will have to wait to see his team in action. Hearts will not be in action until the top table clash between the Tynecastle club and Dunfermline next Tuesday.
Neilson will hope that his players don’t go into that game undercooked. That is always a concern when a team has a game postponed and is then not in action for a while.
Next match is vital league fixture
However, Neilson and his Hearts know what is on the line against Dunfermline. A win in that game would put the team well clear at the top of the league.
Maybe another plus of having no game this weekend is that any players with a slight injury will have more time to get fully fit. However, if you were asking the Hearts manager, he would have wanted a game this weekend.
Sadly the Scottish weather has put paid to that. Hopefully the Camelon-Brora game can be played on Saturday. Any further postponements will just cause problems with fixture congestion.
