Hibernian are making moves to sort their goalkeeping issues before facing Celtic on Monday. Earlier it was reported (NTOF) that the Easter Road club were looking to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Macey.
Now the club has confirmed that Kevin Dabrowski has returned on loan from a very successful spell with Dumbarton.
Kept four clean sheets
Dabrowski played 12 times for the League One side and kept four clean sheets, those came in eight league games, which is a good return.
Now the 22-year-old has returned to Easter Road after Dillon Barnes returned to QPR. Dabrowski could well start for the Easter Road side against Celtic on Monday. There has to be a doubt over Ofir Marciano’s participation in the game as he is currently injured.
If Matt Macey does sign he has not played regular football recently. That is not a problem for Dabrowski, who was a regular for Dumbarton before his loan was cut short.
Interesting decision awaits manager
It is certainly an interesting decision which awaits Jack Ross. However, he must have faith in Dabrowski’s abilities, or he wouldn’t have recalled him from his loan spell.
If he thinks that the player can do well at Celtic Park, then he should be selected. Who knows, it could be the making of the player if he keeps a clean sheet against the Scottish Champions.
Only time will tell who will be in goals for Hibernian at Celtic Park. At the moment, the favourite is probably Dabrowski. If that is the case, it will be a big game for the player, but he will no doubt be up for the battle.
